Main Mission
Reporting to the Finance Department, the Management Controller safeguards the company’s economic performance. He/She oversees performance steering, budget preparation, and the production of financial reporting to provide Management with the tools needed for strategic and operational decision-making.

1. Performance management:

  • Define and implement tools for monitoring and analyzing performance (KPIs, dashboards, procedures).

  • Analyze financial and operational results.

  • Propose corrective actions in case of significant variances between forecasts and actual results.

2. Budgeting and forecasting:

  • Prepare annual and multi-year budgets in coordination with operational departments.

  • Monitor budget execution and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

  • Produce cash-flow forecasts and profitability studies.

3. Internal control and compliance:

  • Implement and monitor internal control procedures.

  • Contribute to the development of management standards, ensure their application, and raise team awareness of best practices.

4. Reporting and financial communication:

  • Ensure regular reporting to top management and/or the Group.

  • Produce economic and financial analyses (business reporting, project reviews, margins, etc.).

  • Provide technical support to operational teams (costing, performance ratios, etc.).

Specific activities (depending on the organization):

  • Participate in the implementation or monitoring of the management information system (ERP).

  • Conduct prospective studies and financial simulations.

  • Support subsidiaries in their management (budget follow-up, consolidation, harmonization of procedures).

  • Advise management on development strategy, including external growth.

  • Lead a team or coordinate cross-functional projects.

Required competencies

Knowledge:

  • General and analytical accounting

  • Management control, taxation, corporate law

  • Budgeting techniques

  • Financial risk analysis

  • Reporting tools (advanced Excel, BI, Power BI, ERP tools such as SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Skills:

  • Analyze, model, and synthesize financial data

  • Design and monitor performance indicators

  • Develop control procedures

  • Advise operational management

  • Draft clear, well-argued executive summaries

Education and experience:

  • Master’s degree (Bac +5) in finance, management control, audit, or business school (DSCG, Master CCA, Master in Management & Finance, etc.).

  • Initial experience (internship, apprenticeship, or employment) in management control or audit is often preferred.

  • Proficiency in professional English may be required depending on the company’s international environment.

Working conditions:

  • Position based in a company, consulting firm, local authority, or public administration.

  • Occasional travel depending on scope.

  • Frequent use of management and analytics software tools.

  • Generally regular hours, with variability during closing or reporting periods.
