How do I find a product on our website?

1. On the Home page, click on categories (next to the HIFI international logo). A menu appears with the main categories. Each of these categories gives you access to the main sub-categories concerned. All you have to do is to let yourself be guided to select the product family you are looking for. With the resulting list, you can easily navigate through the results with the help of the filters on the left side. Once you have clicked on the product you are interested in, you can consult all the information about it and its characteristics. All you have to do is add it to your shopping cart and finalize your purchase.

2. At the top of the Home page, you can fill in the 'Search' field if you are looking for a specific product or brand. If you want to search within a category, you can combine your search by selecting a specific category in the next field.  

3. If you want to search for a brand, click on the Home Page directly on 'Brands' at the top (right) of the page.

How to order Online?

All products displayed on the website can be ordered online. If you want to buy a certain product, simply click on the 'Buy' button. You will then receive a summary of your shopping cart. If you want to add another product, click on 'Continue shopping'.

If you want to remove a product from your cart, click on 'Remove' in the upper right corner. If you want to confirm your order, click on 'Continue'. Then you have to register as an e-shop customer. This registration is completely free. The next time you order a product, you will be able to access it via your e-mail and password. After registration you have to choose a payment method and confirm your order by clicking on 'Continue'.

Is it possible to reserve a product?

If you place an order online, the ordered product will be automatically reserved for you. Please note that the reservation is only valid after HIFI International has received your payment. If you choose to pay your order by bank transfer, we advise you to settle the payment as soon as possible through your bank.  

HIFI international gives you the possibility to order on hifi.lu and to collect your purchases in store.

How to cancel an order?

An order will only be processed when all 3 steps of the procedure have been completed. If the procedure has been completed correctly, you will automatically receive a confirmation by e-mail. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, please note that the selected products will be reserved for you for 5 days. As soon as HIFI international has received the payment, your order will be delivered to your home. It can take up to 3 days to process a standard bank transfer.

If you have already made your payment online and you want to cancel your order, please fill in the e-shop contact form and clearly mention your order number.

Right of withdrawal
In case of exercising his right of withdrawal, the customer will return the goods to SA HIFI international, by all means, at his own risk and expense. Therefore, shipments "carriage paid by the addressee" or "cash on delivery" will be refused. In the interest of the customer, we advise to have the proof of forwarding validated by the post office or by the carrier. HIFI International can also take care of the return of the articles for a flat rate of €10.00 VAT by calling +352 20 80 00 00 or by e-mail to service.clients@hifi.lu and mentioning your name and order number. More information on withdrawal conditions

What are the terms of sale for online orders?

Which are the payment methods accepted?

4. A bank transfer to our business account. We will only be able to provide the ordered goods after receiving your payment. Therefore, we advise you to make the payment through your bank as soon as possible.

 

Can I buy a product online and pay it in monthly instalmentswith the Hifi International Mastercard?

Yes, it is possible to buy a product online and pay it in monthly instalments with the HIFI international Mastercard. To obtain the card, however, you must go to a store. You can also make a purchase in one of our HIFI international points of sale with the HIFI international Mastercard.

How will the online payment be secured?

Security on the Internet is a major issue. In order to guarantee you this security, we use the Ogone payment platform. This organization ensures the confidentiality of the financial data you send us. All exchanges of financial data between your PC / Tablet and our website are encrypted. Ogone meets the strictest security standards in this sector.

Can I pick up my product in store?

<p>Yes, with our Pick up in Store service, you can pick up your order within 1 hour (if the product is available) or within 24 to 72 hours (if the product is not available in the store).</p>

Will HIFI international take back my old equipment?

Yes, our delivery service can take away your old appliance free of charge, provided that you specify this when ordering in your shopping cart (button 'Yes, take back old appliance'). If the appliance to be taken back is a refrigerator or a freezer, this one will have to be empty and defrosted beforehand.

Moreover, the appliances must be disconnected and ready on the first floor to be taken back by HIFI international.

If you have not placed an order, you can still request a free collection of your large appliances through the free Big Collect service. Small appliances can also be deposited in our collection bins in the store.

How can I obtain a warrenty certificate ?

Upon delivery of the ordered product in the e-shop, you will receive a delivery contract which is also valid as proof of purchase and warranty certificate. Please keep it carefully. If you have taken out an Extended Warranty, you will also receive the 'Extended Warranty Agreement'.

Does HIFI International only deliver to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg?

No. We deliver all our products also in Belgium, France (excluding Corsica, Monaco and French overseas departments and territories) and Germany.  

However, for bulky products, such as televisions larger than 40 inches as well as for the category "Large household appliances" (refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, wine cellars, etc.), deliveries to Belgium, Germany and France are limited to a maximum distance established beyond the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. 

How can I exchange a product?

If you wish to exchange an item for another one that you have seen on our site, please place a new order. The item you wish to exchange must be returned to us in perfect condition, complete and in its original packaging (see previous paragraph "Returning a product").

How long is the warrenty period for my equipment?

All products, purchased or delivered, for private use have a 2-year warranty. If the product is used for non-private purposes, the manufacturer's/supplier's limited warranty conditions apply.

Defects or damage due to improper use, such as water damage, oxidation, dropping or impact, negligence, improper maintenance, use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions, as well as wear and tear, are not covered by the warranty

Repairs carried out by technicians not authorized by the supplier will result in the cancellation of the warranty. For more information, please refer to the instruction manual supplied with the product.

The delivery note you will receive upon delivery will serve as your warranty certificate. Please keep it carefully. 

To make use of your warranty, please visit an international HIFI sales outlet with your defective device or contact our service department by phone at +352 20.80.00.00 or by e-mail: sav@hifi.lu.

Even after the warranty period, you can call on HIFI International to repair your defective device.

For many products, you can opt for an Extended Warranty contract. For a small additional fee, you can benefit from a 5 year warranty on your device. This Extended Warranty is also available for products purchased via the e-shop. Simply check the "Extended Warranty" option on the product page or in the shopping cart.
