The ECELLAR Concept
Intelligent wine cellar with automatic bottle detection.
Designed, developed, and manufactured in France, the shelves of the ECELLAR185 are a true technological gem, the result of several years of development. They are both aesthetic and intelligent, designed to accommodate Champagne bottles (up to 9.5cm in diameter) because there's no need to leave your favorite bottles out of your cellar just because they don't fit.
Connected to your smartphone, they automatically detect the addition and removal of your bottles to provide you with a real-time inventory.
The permanent connection between the ECELLAR185 and its dedicated VINOTAG® application allows you to identify your bottles with a simple photo and access a detailed wine profile of your bottle. Identify, store, and retrieve your bottles with ease using the ECELLAR185 and enjoy an instant view of your cellar and its contents directly on your smartphone.
Features of the ECELLAR
- Recognition of Your Bottles
VINOTAG® has partnered with the world's largest wine database: VIVINO®. Whether you've just purchased a bottle or received a lovely gift, let it age in your cellar! Open your VINOTAG® app, take a photo of the bottle label; the VINOTAG® - VIVINO® partnership gives you access to a detailed wine profile in seconds. No need to create your own notes anymore; there's even space for comments, ratings, and favorites that you can personalize to your liking.
- Intelligent Shelves, Made in France
The innovation of the ECELLAR185 lies in its intelligent shelves. Equipped with 12 sensors, they automatically detect the addition and removal of bottles and record each movement in your app. Take a photo of the bottle label to identify it, and then? Place it wherever you like; the ECELLAR185 detects it automatically; it now knows which bottle is placed where. The connected shelves were developed to accommodate a wide range of bottle sizes, up to 9.5cm in diameter. The Bordeaux bottle format is no longer the norm, and the cellar allows you to store all your favorite bottles without exception.
- Assisted Placement with ESommelier®
Designed to accompany you even further, the ECELLAR185 offers an ESommelier® function. Your cellar provides advice on where to place your bottles. This assisted placement function determines the optimal location to ensure proper aging of your wine. This location is defined by the type of wine and its associated aging time. Based on this data and the natural temperature distribution in your cellar, the ECELLAR185 determines an ideal location for aging your bottle. The ESommelier® function is also useful for visualizing available locations in your cellar, a handy tip when your cellar is nearly full.
- Location of Your Bottles
To search for a bottle, provide some clues in the search bar of your app. To find the specific bottle, press "Show in my cellar," and a light indicator will illuminate in your physical cellar, indicating its exact location.
- Wine Library & Sharing Your Cellar
And because we're as passionate about wine as you are, the "wine library" and "share your cellar" functions have been developed to allow you to keep your favorite wines or create a wish list to share with your friends.

Wine Storage at Home, Safe and Secure
- Precise and Constant Temperature
Wine aging depends on its storage temperature, with the ideal storage temperature being 12°C. A temperature that is too high accelerates aging, while a temperature that is too low slows it down. Temperature consistency and stability are also crucial, as significant and repeated temperature fluctuations can affect the freshness of the wine.
- Controlled Humidity
Humidity levels in the cellar should be between 50% and 80%. If humidity is too low, corks may dry out, allowing oxygen to come into contact with the wine. If humidity is too high, it can damage bottle labels and promote the growth of mold.
- No Vibration
Repeated vibrations, even of low magnitude, can disrupt the maturation of wine. They accelerate the aging of young wines and disturb sediments in older wines, causing irreversible damage.
- Protection Against Light
Light, especially ultraviolet rays, can have a detrimental effect on wine, leading to off-flavors and diminished quality.
- Filtration and Ventilation System
Proper ventilation is essential to prevent the development of mold and bacteria and to maintain the integrity of corks and wine flavors.
