General Contest Rules – HIFI International


1. Generalities

These rules apply to any free contest organized by HIFI International S.A., a public limited company whose registered office is located at 2, rue Läiteschbaach, L-5324 Contern, Luxembourg, hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer".

2. Conditions of Participation

Participation is open to any adult natural person residing in Luxembourg or in the border area served by HIFI International (see list of postal codes on www.hifi.lu), with the exception of:

  • employees, agents, or partners of the Organizer,
  • members of their families (spouse and children).

3. Participation Modalities

Participation is exclusively online via a form available on the website www.hifi.lu or on a page dedicated to the contest. The participant must:

  • Fill in all mandatory fields of the form (name, first name, email address, etc.);
  • Validate their participation before the closing date mentioned in the specific conditions of the contest concerned.

Participation is entirely free and without obligation to purchase.

Only one participation is allowed per person and per email address, unless otherwise stated in the specific conditions of the contest. Any attempt at fraud or multiple participation will result in immediate exclusion.

4. Designation of Winners

Winners are selected according to the method specified in the specific conditions of the contest (draw, correct answer to a question, etc.). The designation of winners may be carried out under the supervision of a bailiff or an independent third party.

They will be personally notified by email. Their first name, initial of the last name, and postal code may be published for promotional purposes, particularly on HIFI International's social networks.

5. Prizes

The prizes are specified in the specific conditions of the contest. They cannot be exchanged for their cash value or transferred to a third party. Only one prize is awarded per household (same name, same postal address and/or email) for the entire duration of the contest.

The prizes are reserved for strictly personal use and cannot be resold.

The prizes are, depending on the case:

  • sent by carrier to the address provided by the winner;
  • or to be collected at a HIFI International point of sale in Luxembourg, according to the terms specified in the contest conditions.

If the prize is not claimed within 30 days following the announcement of the win, it may be put back into play or awarded to another participant.

HIFI International cannot be held responsible for a delivery failure due to an incorrect or incomplete address.

6. Liability

The Organizer reserves the right to suspend, shorten, or cancel the contest at any time in case of force majeure or fraud, without this giving rise to any claim.

The Organizer declines all responsibility in case of:

  • malfunction of the website or the form,
  • error or omission in the information provided by the participant,
  • loss or damage of the prize during shipment.

In case of dispute, the computer systems of the Organizer or its service providers shall prevail.

7. Personal Data

Personal data collected during the contest are processed by HIFI International solely for the purpose of managing participation and sending prizes. They may also be used for marketing purposes if the participant has consented.

In accordance with Luxembourg law on data protection, each participant has the right to access, rectify, delete, and object to the use of their data. To exercise this right, they can contact:

8. Complaints

Any complaint regarding the contest must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of participation:

Oral, telephone, or late complaints will not be considered.

9. Ownership and Validity

These rules are available on the website www.hifi.lu and can be obtained upon simple written request (accompanied by a stamped and addressed envelope).

HIFI International reserves the right to modify these rules at any time and without notice. Any modification will be updated online.

10. Applicable Law

These rules are subject to Luxembourg law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of the rules shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Luxembourg courts.

11. Authenticity

Fake accounts, fraudulent profiles, or fictitious identities will be systematically excluded from the contest. HIFI International reserves the right to verify the authenticity of each participation.
