Dishwashers have received a new energy label since March 1, 2021.
The classes are stricter, and the consumption measurement methods are more realistic for everyday conditions.
New energy label for dishwashers
Dishwasher consumption is now measured more realistically by including cups, pots, and plastic items in the tests. Consumption is still based on the eco-program, which is ideal for normally soiled items while optimizing energy and water use.
Consumption is now measured based on 100 wash cycles. Previously, it was measured over 280 cycles, which was intended to represent the average annual consumption of a typical household.
New information provided includes the duration and water consumption of a washing cycle using the eco-program.
