The Miele DAH 4970 Sienna is a decorative wall-mounted hood designed to combine silence, performance, and elegance. Featuring the ultra-quiet EcoMotor (only 50 dB at level 3), it stands out as the quietest headroom hood in the Miele range.
Its obsidian black glass front, matching body, and sleek lines bring a modern touch to your kitchen while delivering powerful extraction and energy efficiency. Its 898 mm width makes it perfect for large hobs, while allowing comfortable head clearance for cooking.
A smart and connected hood
The DAH 4970 Sienna features Con@ctivity technology, enabling automatic communication with compatible Miele hobs: the hood adjusts its suction power based on the cooking level. It is controlled via SmartControl, a modern, intuitive touch interface, either on the appliance or via the Miele@home app.
The hood offers 3 standard power levels and 2 Booster levels, delivering maximum efficiency even during intense cooking. The Silence mode significantly reduces noise while maintaining effective ventilation.
High-performance filtration and easy maintenance
Miele delivers premium filtration: two 10-layer stainless steel grease filters, dishwasher-safe, ensure optimal grease capture. The inner surface is easy to clean thanks to the CleanCover finish.
Saturation indicators alert you when the grease or charcoal filters (optional DKF 29) need maintenance, ensuring consistent performance.
Exceptional lighting and energy efficiency
The hood features a 3.2 W LED spotlight, offering a warm light (3500 K) with 260 lux brightness, and a dimmer function for tailored visual comfort at any time of day.
With an A++ energy rating, the hood uses a DC motor, smart power management, and optimized design to achieve class A efficiency in both lighting and air extraction. Its annual consumption is just 28.2 kWh.
Safety, flexible installation, and durability
Weighing only 18 kg, the hood can be easily installed in either extraction or recirculation mode (optional accessories required). It includes a non-return flap, grounded plug, and complies with recommended safety distances (min. 45 cm for electric hobs, 65 cm for gas).
Its tempered safety glass, delayed shut-off, and auto shut-off safety feature enhance everyday security and peace of mind.
