The Withings BodyFit smart scale redefines the precision of at-home health tracking by relying on very high-frequency bioelectrical impedance spectroscopy (BIS), a technology usually reserved for professional settings. With its 8 BIS electrodes measuring up to 13 different bioelectrical frequencies, compared to an average of 2 on competing scales, and a maximum frequency reaching 800 kHz, BodyFit penetrates deeper into cells for direct intra- and extracellular measurements, far more reliable than the estimates used by conventional scales. This approach delivers a 99% correlation with DEXA results, the gold standard in medical imaging for measuring fat mass.

This precision translates into a complete 6-zone body composition analysis, allowing users to separately track fat mass and muscle mass across the whole body. BodyFit goes beyond simple weighing by also assessing key metabolic indicators such as BMI, basal metabolic rate, visceral fat index, and hydration level, offering a complete, detailed view of one's overall fitness.
