Attach the Joy-Con controllers to the console and take it with you wherever you go to play.

Joy-Con

Nintendo Switch features a controller on each side of the console that work in harmony: the Joy-Con.

By attaching both Joy-Cons to the Joy-Con holder, they will work together as a single traditional controller. Without the holder, they function independently, as two controllers in their own right.

Share the fun with Joy-Con
By giving a Joy-Con to a friend, you can compete or cooperate with them in multiplayer mode, wherever you are.

A sense of touch that goes beyond mere vibrations
Imagine the Joy-Con as a glass containing ice cubes. Thanks to HD vibrations, as you move and tilt the Joy-Con, you can feel the ice cubes clink together.

There's one, there's another... the HD vibrations are so realistic that you can even tell how many ice cubes there are, almost as if you were holding a glass.

Shape, motion and distance detection
The infrared motion-sensing camera in the Joy-Con (R) is capable of detecting the shape, movement and distance of objects captured by the camera.

For example, it can detect whether the hand is taking on a specific shape, as in the rock-leaf-scissors game. This function also enables brand-new gaming experiences such as Nintendo Labo (sold separately).

Play on the big screen at home with your friends*.

• Local wireless mode

Players can synchronize up to eight Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite consoles to play against each other or cooperate in multiplayer games.

HOME menu
From the HOME menu, you can launch games and choose game settings. You can also organize your friends list and user accounts, and change your console settings.
