The Refurbishment Cycle

Here are the 5 essential steps of the refurbishment cycle for used products:

1. Collection of Non-Functional Appliances

With its BigCollect initiative, Hifi collects household appliances from our customers every day during deliveries. These products are carefully assessed to determine whether they can be refurbished rather than destroyed. This step helps identify their potential for a second life.

2. Product Qualification

Each appliance is meticulously inspected, both technically and physically. This step ensures that only products that can be repaired or improved enter the refurbishment process.

3. Reception of Appliances

Once identified, the refurbishable appliances are grouped and sent to our partner workshop.

4. Local Refurbishment

Proximity and local expertise are at the heart of this step. The appliances are restored at our partner workshop in the Ardennes, less than 150 km from the collection site. Experts perform the necessary repairs (part replacements, cleaning, quality control). This process ensures the product is restored and ready for use.

5. Back to the Store for a Second Life

After refurbishment, the appliance is returned to the store, ready to be adopted by a new owner. This contributes to a sustainable purchase while providing a reliable product.
